Use Portal

Portal is Guuey’s app for end users. It’s two things in one: an App Store for agents, and a universal chat client for talking to them. Builders create and deploy agents in the console; Portal is where everyone else finds those agents and uses them.

Note

Guuey is in public beta preview. Portal on the web lives at app.guuey.com and works in desktop and mobile browsers. Native iOS and Android apps are built from the same codebase and are on the way — Portal today means the web app.

The four tabs

• Agents — your agents: ones you’ve added from Explore, ones you’ve chatted with, and (if you’re a builder) the agents you own. Rows under Your agents have a menu (long-press, or the “…” button on the web) to pin, remove, or delete that agent’s memory of you.
• Chats — every conversation, one thread per agent. On desktop this becomes a two-pane layout with your chat list beside the open thread.
• Explore — the store surface: featured picks, official agents, a “New” rail, category filters, and search. See Finding agents & chatting.
• Settings — account, region, appearance, paired servers, and your data & privacy controls. See Account & settings.

On phones these are bottom tabs; on tablets and desktop web the same four destinations move into a sidebar.

Portal is also a universal client: alongside Guuey-hosted agents, it can pair with a self-hosted ggui server and browse that server’s agents instead — see Finding agents & chatting for pairing.

How agents get here

When a builder lists an agent publicly, it gets a listing in Portal’s Explore tab (also called “Discover” — same place). Public listing is meant for read-only agents — ones with no connected accounts that could modify data. Sharing by unlisted link instead produces a direct URL that opens the agent’s page without listing it in Explore; agents with connected accounts are shared this way.

Visibility and access are separate. Each agent’s builder also decides whether you need a Guuey account to chat: some agents welcome guests, others ask you to sign in first. When sign-in is required, Portal prompts you before the conversation starts.

One more state you may run into: a newly deployed agent runs on a free trial, and pauses when the trial ends. Its card and chat say “Paused — trial ended”, and you can’t chat with it until its builder picks a plan — only the builder can resume it. See Plans and billing.

For builders

Your own deployed agents appear in the Agents tab, so you can test them exactly the way your users will experience them — same chat, same streaming, same cards. When you’re happy with an agent, share it from the console’s Design & distribution page — publicly if it’s read-only, or by unlisted link — and it’s live in Portal.
